The Unity Group, founded by Lisa Ventura MBE FCIIS, is a collection of community driven organisations united by a shared mission to bring people together across the cyber security, artificial intelligence and neurodiversity landscapes. Operating under the umbrella of Unity Group Solutions Limited, the group encompasses three distinct but interconnected initiatives: Cyber Security Unity, AI Unity and Neuro Unity. Each addresses a critical dimension of the modern technology ecosystem, and together they reflect a deeply held conviction that collaboration, inclusion and ethical practice are essential to building a safer, more resilient digital world.
Cyber Security Unity is a global community organisation dedicated to bringing individuals and organisations together to combat the growing cyber threat. Founded by Lisa in 2021, it operates through events, webinars, round tables, interviews and project groups covering key workstreams including women in cyber, mental health and wellbeing in the profession, neurodiversity in cyber security, the #GenerationCyber campaign and the intersection of AI and security. Cyber Security Unity also hosts the monthly #InfosecLunchHour, a community networking event held under Chatham House Rules, providing a safe and open space for professionals to connect, share knowledge and collaborate. The organisation has built a strong reputation for championing those who are often underrepresented in the industry, including women, neurodivergent individuals and those from marginalised backgrounds.
AI Unity was created as a sister initiative to Cyber Security Unity, with the vision of bringing the artificial intelligence sector together under a shared commitment to ethical innovation, transparency and social responsibility. Its mission is to unite AI developers, researchers, policymakers and communities in shaping an AI future that is inclusive and beneficial to all, promoting responsible AI practices through open dialogue, shared standards and proactive governance.
Neuro Unity is a non profit dedicated to promoting and championing neuroinclusion. It brings together neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals to advocate for policies, accommodations and societal changes that support neurodivergent people, offering services including website and app accessibility audits, advocacy work with legislative bodies and organisations, support groups and meet ups, and a comprehensive knowledge hub covering all aspects of neurodiversity.
The AICSA is proud to recognise the Unity Group as a founding partner organisation. The values that underpin the Unity Group, collaboration over competition, inclusion by design and a relentless focus on the human element, are at the very core of the AICSA’s own mission. Together, we are committed to ensuring that the AI and cyber security ecosystem is one where diverse perspectives are valued, ethical practice is championed and every individual has the opportunity to contribute and thrive.
