The Global Council for Responsible AI (GCRAI) is the world’s fastest growing international governance ecosystem dedicated to advancing trustworthy artificial intelligence. Founded by Carmen Marsh, the GCRAI operates across 77 countries with over 1,000 Global Ambassadors, Country Governors and certified members, making it one of the most inclusive, diverse and globally connected AI leadership organisations in existence. The Council is committed to ensuring that everyone has a meaningful role in defining the ethical principles, governance frameworks and policies that guide the responsible development and deployment of AI, and it champions four core pillars: promoting inclusion, advocating for responsible AI, empowering participation and guiding the direction of AI development to serve the common good.

At the heart of the GCRAI’s work is the GRAICE (Global Responsible AI Compliance and Ethics) Framework, described as Humanity’s Operating System for AI. The framework is designed as a global meta framework that does not replace existing regulations or standards but connects them through a harmonised structure, enabling organisations to transform ethics into enforceable standards, measurable compliance and real world impact. The GCRAI operates through a network of specialised committees covering workforce and human resource impact, responsible AI training, research and development, legal, privacy and regulatory impact, strategic partnerships, public policy, data governance and transparency, and strategy and foresight. This structure ensures that the Council’s work is comprehensive, cross sectoral and grounded in both policy and practice.

The GCRAI has forged strategic alliances with organisations including Abraham House and the Human Amplification Index, and has held leadership forums and events at prestigious locations including Lake Como and the House of Lords. Its network includes leaders from some of the world’s most influential technology companies and institutions, and it continues to expand its reach through national chapters, certification programmes, Responsible AI Leadership Workshops and global forums. AICSA Founder and CEO Lisa Ventura MBE FCIIS serves as a Global Ambassador for the UK Chapter of the GCRAI, actively advocating for the ethical and responsible adoption of AI in cyber security and working to align local innovation with global standards.

The AICSA is proud to recognise the Global Council for Responsible AI as a partner organisation. The GCRAI’s mission to ensure that AI evolves with transparency, security and accountability aligns directly with the AICSA’s own commitment to promoting the safe, secure, responsible and ethical use of AI. Together, we share a conviction that the future of AI must be shaped by diverse voices, grounded in shared human values and governed by frameworks that protect people, rights and communities worldwide.
