Neuro Unity is a not for profit organisation founded by Lisa Ventura MBE FCIIS that exists to promote and champion neuroinclusion. Comprising a blended team of neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals, Neuro Unity brings together people with a lifetime of lived experience alongside those with decades of professional expertise in supporting neurodivergent individuals. The organisation’s mission is to create a neuroinclusive world where neurodivergent people are empowered, understood and supported across all aspects of life, with a key aim of campaigning for neurodivergence to be afforded the same protections as race or religion in society. Neuro Unity’s vision is to unite everything neurodiversity related under one roof, raising awareness, enhancing accessibility and advocating for meaningful change. The organisation operates on the principle that there is nothing about us without us.

Neuro Unity offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to drive neuroinclusion across organisations and communities. These include website and app accessibility audits, helping organisations make their digital platforms more navigable, readable and usable for neurodivergent users. The organisation also delivers neurodiversity in the workplace training through its partner Thrive Neurodiversity and Mental Health, equipping leaders and advocates with the tools to promote inclusive cultures and provide ongoing support. Beyond consultancy, Neuro Unity provides safe and supportive spaces through virtual and in person support groups and meet ups, led by facilitators who understand neurodivergent needs, enabling individuals to connect, share experiences and access peer support.

At a strategic level, Neuro Unity is actively engaged in advocacy, policy and lobbying work, collaborating with legislative bodies, government, healthcare organisations and the NHS to establish frameworks that ensure neurodivergent individuals receive the support, resources and acceptance they need. The organisation also runs awareness campaigns to promote neuroinclusion and is developing plans for events, a podcast featuring key voices in the neurodiversity space, and a set of awards to showcase best practice. Its Knowledge Hub aims to centralise resources covering all aspects of neurodiversity, including guides on autism, ADHD, dyspraxia, dyslexia and more, diagnostic pathways (both NHS and private), support services, charities and practical guidance for family members and those navigating relationships.

The AICSA is proud to recognise Neuro Unity as a partner organisation. The technology and cyber security sectors have much to gain from embracing neurodiversity, and Neuro Unity’s work in championing neuroinclusion is directly relevant to the AICSA’s commitment to building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive AI and cyber security ecosystem. Together, we are working to ensure that neuroinclusion is embedded as a core value across the industries we serve, recognising that diverse minds are essential to solving the complex challenges of our digital age.
